Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons NYE Weekend

Ring in the New Year with three nights of power rock featuring Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons at the Sitzmark Bar & Grill. Joseph returns to the Sitzmark stage on December 31 and January 1 & 2. Tickets for the NYE show are $20, and the January 1 & 2 shows are $12 in advance and $15 day of show. Advance tickets can be purchased by calling 754-2275, at any Ticket Office or at the Sitzmark. All three shows are 21 and over and start at 10:00 p.m.

Opening Chair 6 and Tram tomorrow

Heads up skiers & riders! Mountain crews are working hard to open the Tram and Chair 6 for the first time this season, tomorrow Sunday, November 29. Chairs will fire up at approximately 1pm, barring any unexpected circumstances.
Make sure to call the SKI-SNOW (754-7669) hotline in the morning for confirmed mountain openings.

Ski Movie at the Daylodge tonight

Alyeska Resort's Winter Snow Film Series continues Friday, November 20 with Poor Boyz Productions "Every Day is a Saturday". Doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie starts at 7:30 pm. Admission cost is $5 and beer & wine will be available. Movie showings are open to all ages, and under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

For 2009, MSP Films takes an original look at the sport of skiing. All of the skiers in the film--park rat or big mountain charger--share a common bond: the overwhelming desires to ski. Each person finds stoke in his own unique way, whether it be a double cork 1260, a deep turn on a storm day or ripping a giant AK line. Skiing is an incredibly diverse sport that offers it all. "In Deep" will feature an epic Shane McConkey tribute segment.
